www.reach.org.uk is a small charity that makes a big difference to kid’s lives. We wanted to really help them to continue the good work and Peter and Nick came up with the idea of a sponsored cycle – AROUND ICELAND! (Yes, that’s the country not the store!)
So while there are no wedding fairs Peter will be sneaking off to ride the 850 mile ‘main road’ around Iceland. This road is so ‘main’ that parts of it are still loose stones and the northern region is so sparsely populated that wild camping is the only option. Weather in June fluctuates from 18 to 0 degrees C and with the strong winds, rain is often horizontal.
Hopefully Peter will be thawed out in time for the Autumn 2010 wedding Fairs but please spare a thought for him in June 2010 when he will be spending an uncomfortable 3 weeks in Iceland but, more importantly, please spare a few pounds to help raise as much money as possible for Reach.
